State Grid's first 110 kV grafted polypropylene insulated power cable put into operation
Recently, the first 110 kV grafted polypropylene insulated power cable of the State Grid was put into operation in the 110 kV Wangluosheng line in Linyi, Shandong Province, marking the development of China's environmental protection and low-carbon recyclable high-voltage polypropylene cable has reached a new level. "110 kV polypropylene power cable manufacturing and application technology research" is the State Grid Corporation headquarters science and technology project. The 110 kV grafted polypropylene insulated power cable put into operation this time is a phased achievement of the project.
The cable adopts the international advanced aqueous suspension graft modification technology, and compared with the traditional crosslinked polyethylene cable, the transmission capacity is increased by about 25%, and the electrical performance and long-term operating life are significantly improved. The production process of the cable eliminates the cross-linking and degassing processes, reduces the production energy consumption and improves the production efficiency. At the same time, after the expiry of the service of the cable, the polypropylene insulation material can be recycled to the car bumper, plastic pipe reproduction and other fields, which greatly reduces the carbon emissions of the cable life cycle, and is one of the core equipment of the future environmentally friendly low-carbon recyclable cable system. The average annual transmission power of the cable exceeds 16,710,000 kW, which provides reliable electric energy guarantee for Luozhuang District of Linyi City, and also provides sufficient margin for subsequent power supply load increase.
